SUBSTITUTION
Teams may use unlimited defensive substitutions, without reporting them to the umpire. In this tournament you will be allowed to bat 11 players, the extra players being EP‘s. Teams may utilize the courtesy runner rule for catchers & pitchers only. For this tournament, the definition of a courtesy runner is a player who is not currently in the batting order. If you don‘t have any subs your last batted out must be used for the pitcher or catcher.
STALLING
There is absolutely NO stalling of time permitted in this event to try and secure a win. It will be left up to the umpires discretion and if he or she feels like a team is stalling that team will receive an initial warning, if it happens a second time that team will forfeit the game, the game won't stop, but that team will forfeit the score and be subject to never attending the event again.
FORMAT
This tournament is a 6 game (weather permitting) format. With the top three finishing teams from each pool being put into a single elimination bracket to determine the overall champion.
GAME TIME & DROP DEAD RULE
Game times are 1 hour and 25 minutes drop dead. In order to get the final score, if a game has not finished, we will go back to the last completed inning, unless the home team is up to bat and are ahead in the score or have tied the score. Pool games can end in a tie. There will be a mercy rule in effect: (10 runs after 3 innings and 8 runs after 5 innings). Elimination games will be 1 hour and 30 minutes with the mercy rules in effect. Championship game will be 7 innings.
DEFINITION OF TIE BREAKER
Your last batted out will be placed at second base with no outs.

THESE SPEED UP RULES WILL APPLY:
1. The pitcher will get 5 warm up pitches to begin the game there after she will get two.
2. The batter must receive signs with one foot in the batters box.
3. No infield meetings after a strikeout has occurred.
4. One offensive conference per inning, and one defensive conference per inning, on the 2nd trip to the mound you must take your pitcher out.
5. There will be no arguing of calls by the coaches and there will be no protesting of games, the first purpose of the tournament is exposure and the games will not be stopped due to these matters.
WEATHER POLICY
The tournament director reserves the right to delay or reschedule games as needed. In case of rain delays, a restricted schedule may be implemented. If any pool games get rained out we will use Sunday to make these games up and the elimination round will be eliminated. Any rain out games will be canceled without money refunded. The head coach is responsible for finding out changed game times in the event of rain.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Home team will be decided by coin toss. Line up cards are to be turned into the official scorekeeper before each game. Home team is responsible for keeping the official scorebook.
If the game before you ends early be ready to play immediately following that game.
The pitching distance for this tournament will be set at 43 feet.
PER THE COLLEGES REQUEST WE WILL ALLOW 3 D1 COLLEGE PLAYERS PER TEAM TO PLAY IN THIS EVENT IN THE 18U & GOLD DIVISIONS ONLY!
Metal cleats are permitted in this event.
There will be no protests allowed in this tournament.
